15 Signs You're the Craftiest Person in Your Friend Group

15 Signs You're the Craftiest Person in Your Friend Group

Being the crafty one in your friend group is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, you can turn anything into a masterpiece with just some glue and a sparkle of inspiration.

On the other, your house is possibly (however slowly, but let's admit it) becoming an episode of Hoarders.

If any of the signs below sound eerily familiar, congratulations - you’re officially the DIY queen (or king) of your crew!

1. Your hands are permanently covered in paint, glue, or some mystery substance.

Bonus points if you've ever found glitter in your underwear and have no idea how it got there.

2. Your craft stash is bigger than your actual wardrobe.

Crafting isn't just the latest trend or whim for you - it's a lifestyle. A lifestyle you've had since way before granny activities were cool. (Crafty before crafty was cool t-shirt)

Hot glue burns? Part of the lifestyle. It's also a good reason not to mess with us.

12. You get way too excited when someone compliments your handmade items.

YES, I MADE IT! LET ME TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT! From personal experience: turns out friends sometimes aren't as intrigued by the Christmas ornament painting and drying process as you are.

13. Your idea of a fun Friday night is reorganizing your craft supplies.

in rainbow order . . .  and maybe labeling everything. For fun.

14. You've spent more money at a craft store than on actual groceries.

There was a 20% off all items in the app. And also, priorities.

15. You have a “craft room” (or at least a corner that’s trying to be one).

Even if it’s just a closet, it’s sacred. Note that I didn't say it was organized. But it is a space!

If you just nodded your way through this list, it’s time to embrace your craftiness with pride. Sure, your home may be covered in stray beads and rogue glue sticks, but that’s just part of the creative process!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have about 12 unfinished projects calling my name . . .
