Let’s be honest: crafting might look wholesome on the outside, but there’s a little mischief behind every glue stick and glitter jar. We’ve all committed a few “sins” in the name of creativity — and we’d do it again.
From hoarding supplies to cursing the day you trusted a Pinterest tutorial, crafting can bring out the best . . . and also the most chaotic . . . in each of us.
So grab your scissors and your snark - here are the seven deadly sins of crafting, and why we’re 100% guilty of every single one.
Gluttony: The Craft Supply Stash

Do you really need 87 rolls of washi tape and enough yarn to knit your own planet? No. Will you stop buying more? Also no. Craft stores are our weakness and coupons are our enablers.
Greed: “That’s My Hot Glue Gun”

We all have that one tool no one’s allowed to touch. It’s perfectly broken in, and you’d rather someone borrow your car than your favorite pair of scissors. (Never Mess with a Crafter - Glue Gun Burns Leave No Fingerprints Tee)
Sloth: The Pile of Unfinished Projects

Starting a new craft is thrilling. Finishing it? That’s a different story. Somewhere in your home is a basket of half-painted, half-sewn, half-loved projects... and you fully intend to get to them. Someday. (Working on My PhD in Crafting Tee)
Wrath: When the Project Fights Back

Ever lost your temper over tangled thread? Flipped off your Cricut machine? Sworn you’ll never craft again... only to start something new the next day?
We've all "Craft Our Pants." Welcome to wrath, crafter-style.
Envy: That Person on Instagram Who’s “So Creative”

You know the one. Their craft room is color-coded, their lighting is flawless, and somehow they never have stray glue strings. HOW? They probably sweat glitter.
Pride: “Yeah, I Made That.”

There’s nothing quite like showing off a finished piece. You want to be humble, really—but you did spend 14 hours and a minor emotional breakdown getting it right. You’ve earned this. You made it!
Lust: The Pinterest Scroll Spiral
You were just looking for one little idea. Now it’s 2 a.m., your phone’s at 3%, and you’ve pinned 47 projects you’ll never have time to make. Again.
----------------
Let’s face it: crafting isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle full of chaos, joy, and a healthy dose of glitter-fueled sinning. And while we might be guilty of all seven, we wear our crafting flaws with pride.
Because if loving a well-stocked craft room and an unfinished project pile is wrong... we don’t want to be right.

Personally, I think these are more admirable traits than sins. But, I am guilty of all of them.
